01 July 2023; AA: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) head coach Christophe Galtier was reportedly placed in police custody on Friday following allegations of making racist remarks against Black and Muslim players during his time at OGC Nice, his former club.

French daily Le Parisien reported that Galtier, 56, was held by the Nice police to provide a statement regarding the alleged remarks made during his tenure in 2021.

27 June 2023; MEMO: The 2023 Club World Cup will take place in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah, football's world governing body FIFA said on Monday. Reuters reported that the decision was announced following a FIFA delegation visit to Jeddah last week to assess ongoing preparations for the tournament.

31 May 2023; MEMO: Real Madrid captain, French-Algerian star Karim Benzema has received a $214.5 million offer to join Saudi's Al-Ittihad Club.

The Spanish radio station, Cadena COPE, revealed that Benzema had agreed to join the Saudi club, which won the league title this year, starting next season.  Benzema is contracted with Real Madrid until 2024 but there are reports that the club would allow him to leave should he choose to accept the offer.

Tehran, IRNA – The 22nd edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship will be held in the Iranian capital, Tehran, from August 19 to 26, with the participation of 18 teams.

The draw for the competition took place on March 16, and the 18 participating teams were divided into six groups.

In the group stage, teams will compete against each other, and at the end of this stage, the top two teams from each group (a total of 12 teams) will advance to the playoffs. The group winners will face the second-placed teams from other groups, determined by a draw.

04 May 2023; MEMO: Argentinian football player, Lionel Messi, is reportedly in talks to joi the Saudi Pro League for an annual contract worth $400 million.

According to the Telegraph, Saudi Arabia is preparing the offer as Messi is set to leave France's Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) club and become a free agent this summer.

This will help the city's tennis players to get another high-quality facility to practice and prove their playing skills.

18 Apr 2023; MEMO: Qatari anti-normalisation activists have condemned allowing Israeli female players to participate in the World Judo Championships that are scheduled to be held in the Qatari capital next month.

In a statement, the Qatar Youth Against Normalisation group called for the "immediate withdrawal and refusal to grant the representatives of Israel entry visas to the State of Qatar."
