Islamabad, Oct 3 (PTI) Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has asked his party leaders to devise a legal strategy to bring back former premier Nawaz Sharif from the UK as in the absence of an extradition treaty between the two countries it would be difficult to get him extradited, according to a media report.

ISLAMABAD, Sept 30 (NNN-APP) – Four people, including two minors and a senior citizen, were killed and 15 others injured, when a bomb went off in Mardan district, of Pakistan’s north-west Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, yesterday, police sources said.

Some unknown militants fixed explosive materials in a motorbike, parked inside the market place and detonated them with a remote controlled device, before fleeing the scene, the police said,

Islamabad, Sep 30 (PTI) Pakistan on Wednesday opened all the educational institutions which remained shut for nearly six months due to the coronavirus pandemic that has infected over 3 lakh people in the country.

Both private and public schools were opened under strict restriction and were told by the authorities to follow the standard operating procedures to contain the spread of the contagious coronavirus.

GHALANAI, Sep 28 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan here Monday welcoming initiation of intra-Afghan dialogue process said that peaceful Afghanistan was in the interest of both Pakistan and Afghanistan besides stability of the entire region.

Islamabad, Sep 28 (AP/PTI) Afghanistan's top official in negotiations with the Taliban arrived in Pakistan's capital Monday on a three-day trip during which he will meet with the country's prime minister and other government officials.

Abdullah Abdullah, who leads the Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation, was received by top government officials on arriving in Islamabad.

ISLAMABAD, Sept 27 (NNN-APP) – Thirteen people were killed and seven others injured, when a passenger van caught fire, in Pakistan’s south Sindh province last night, police said.

The van, carrying around 20 people, was on its way to the port city of Karachi from Hyderabad district, when it caught fire after turning turtle on the Karachi-Hyderabad motorway, Turab Hussain, a spokesman of the motorway police told media.

He said, the accident happened when the tie rod of the poorly maintained vehicle broke and it turned turtle on the road, before catching fire.

ISLAMABAD, Sept 26 (NNN-APP) – Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, said that, the Afghan stakeholders should work together, to secure an inclusive and comprehensive political agreement through Afghan-led and Afghan-owned process, the Prime Minister Office said.

In a telephone conversation with Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani, Khan emphasised the importance of all Afghan parties working for reduction in violence, leading to ceasefire, and said, his country will fully support the decisions that the Afghan people will take about their future, the statement added.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday assailed India’s Hindu nationalist government and its moves to cement control of Muslim-majority Kashmir, calling India a state sponsor of hatred and prejudice against Islam.

Khan said at the annual U.N. gathering of world leaders that Islamophobia rules India and threatens the nearly 200 million Muslims who live there.

MULTAN, Sep 25 (APP): Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi slammed BJP, the ruling Indian party for targeting its Muslims minority by framing multiple legislation and placing restrictions on their religious freedom which was sheer human rights violation.

Addressing closing ceremony of Hazrat Bahuddin Zakariya Multani on Friday, he said Muslims of India were compelled to live under particular ideology of Hindutva and frequently subjected to violent attacks by right wing Hindu nationalists.

Islamabad, Sep 21 (PTI) Demanding Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's immediate resignation, the country's major Opposition parties have launched an alliance to hold a countrywide protest movement to oust his government.

A 26-point joint resolution was adopted on Sunday by the All Parties Conference (APC), which was hosted by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and attended by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and several other parties.
