Israel: Knesset deputy speaker calls for burning Gaza

20 November 2023; MEMO: The deputy speaker of the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, has called for the burning of Gaza, which has been under relentless Israeli bombardment since 7 October.

According to the Hebrew TV Channel 12, Knesset Deputy Speaker and far-right Likud Party member, Nissim Vaturi, tweeted on Saturday on X that Gaza must be burned.

Premature Gaza babies evacuated to Egypt; 12 reported killed at Indonesian Hospital

20 November 2023; MEMO: A group of 28 prematurely born babies evacuated from Gaza’s biggest hospital were taken into Egypt for urgent treatment on Monday, while Palestinian authorities and the WHO said 12 people were killed at another Gaza hospital encircled by Israeli tanks.

WHO chief 'appalled' by attack on Gaza's Indonesian Hospital

21 November 2023; MEMO: The World Health Organisation (WHO) chief yesterday said he is “appalled” by an attack on the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, Anadolu news agency reported.

The attack reportedly resulted “in 12 deaths, including patients, and tens of injuries, including critical and life-threatening ones,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on X.

Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani has rebuked Western countries for drafting and voting for an anti-Iran UN resolution, saying they are not qualified to preach human rights to Iranians.

In reaction to the anti-Iran resolution in the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, Kanaani said that the countries that have a long history of systematic human rights violations and crimes against nations are in no position to give human rights advice to the Iranian government and people.

16 November 2023; MEMO: Turkiye’s First Lady has said that Gaza has become a city of “unknown children”, a reference to the children who were killed in Israeli bombing raids who have nobody to identify their remains. Emine Erdogan made her comment in her speech on Wednesday at the Summit of First Ladies in Istanbul under the banner “One Heart for Palestine”.
