Chinese-funded law firm to provide legal services to Chinese companies, citizens in Pakistan

BEIJING, May 30 (APP): Zhongao Law Firm, a first Chinese-funded law company has been established to provide legal services and assistance to the Chinese enterprises and citizens in Pakistan.

Malaysia-Turkey to collaborate to develop COVID-19 vaccine

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (NNN-BERNAMA) — Malaysia is prepared to collaborate with Turkey to develop COVID-19 vaccine and related medicines, Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said.

Muhyiddin said he and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had also agreed to fully utilise the strength of the two countries in combating the spread of the coronavirus and facing the challenges post-COVID-19.

Malaysia set for recovery in 2021 with most employees back at work

Tokyo to further relax coronavirus curbs on Monday, governor says

TOKYO (Reuters) - Curbs in Japan’s capital of Tokyo to contain the coronavirus are to be eased further from Monday, Governor Yuriko Koike said, citing the recommendation of an advisory panel.

Cram schools, gyms, and theatres are among the facilities that will be allowed to reopen in a phased relaxation process, Koike told a news conference on Friday.

The city can “move to the next step of the phased easing of curbs, as long as Tokyo takes the necessary precautions to contain the spread of the virus”, she quoted the panel as having said.

Protest in Hong Kong over China move to pass security law

HONG KONG (AP) — Dozens of people joined a protest in a mall in Hong Kong on Friday following a vote by China’s ceremonial parliament to approve legislation that could severely restrict opposition political activity and civic activity in the Asian financial center.

The protesters chanted slogans in the main atrium of the mall in the high-end Central district, some draping banners over the balconies with slogans such as “Independence for Hong Kong.”
