22 March 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Monday for the international community to implement the law and dismantle Israel's apartheid regime, Al-Sabeel newspaper has reported.
In a statement issued on the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the ministry stressed the importance of ending Israeli discrimination against the Palestinian people. It suggested an end to military cooperation with Israel, and sanctions on individuals and companies connected to the illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.
Israel's racial discrimination is manifest in "the worst oppressive crimes against the Palestinians." Moreover, the Israeli attempt to change the demographic reality through the ethnic cleansing of the people of occupied Palestine "is a violation against the Palestinians and their inalienable rights."
The PA hailed the reports issued by international rights groups over the past year or so which determined that Israel imposes an apartheid regime. The international community, it added, should end its silence on the issue and pursue the occupation authorities through the International Criminal Court for Israel's crimes against humanity and possible war crimes.
