Iran favors "quality" of nuke deal in Vienna talks: FM

TEHRAN, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Iran's foreign minister said Iran favors the "quality" of any possible deal in the ongoing talks in Vienna aimed to restore the 2015 Iranian nuclear deal, official IRNA news agency reported Saturday.

Rejecting some comments of "setting fake deadlines," Hossein Amir Abdollahian said in a meeting with his German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock that Iran believes the "quality" of an agreement should be assessed within the context of time.

Iran not to enter any talks beyond JCPOA with US, Europe

Tehran (ISNA) - Iran's secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani stressed that Iran will not enter any negotiation beyond the JCPOA with the US and the Europeans who failed to fulfill their commitments.

“The United States and Europe failed in fulfilling their obligations under the JCPOA. Now JCPOA has become an empty shell for Iran in the economic field and the removal of sanctions,” Shamkhani wrote on his official Twitter account.

Iranian FM hails process of talks in Vienna but important issues remained

Tehran (ISNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed that Vienna talks have made significant progress but important issues have still remained.

Referring to his phone call with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Amir-Abdollahian wrote on his official Twitter account, “We had discussed the latest developments regarding the Vienna Talks”.

2015 nuclear deal has become an 'empty shell': Iran's top security official

The 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and world powers has become an "empty shell", the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council said on Twitter on Wednesday, and Reuters reports.

"The United States and Europe failed to meet their obligations under the JCPOA. The deal has now become an empty shell for Iran in the economic sphere and the lifting of sanctions. There will be no negotiations beyond the nuclear deal with a non-compliant America and a passive Europe," Shamkhani said.

Iran says no talks with West beyond JCPOA

TEHRAN, Feb. 16 (Xinhua) -- A top Iranian security official said on Wednesday that Tehran will hold no talks beyond the scopes of a 2015 nuclear deal with the "oath-breaker" United States and "idle" Europe.

Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani tweeted the United States and Europe have failed the test of fulfilling their commitments under the nuclear pact, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Iran army ground forces reached self-sufficiency in producing military equipment, general says

TEHRAN, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani said on Tuesday that the U.S. breaches of promises pose major threat to "a good agreement" in the ongoing nuclear talks.

"The proven American malpractice is the most important threat to any agreement," Shamkhani tweeted on his social media account. "Verification and guarantee is an integral part of a good agreement," he noted.

"The real lifting of sanctions means that Iran will enjoy credible and sustainable economic benefits," Shamkhani explained.

Iran's boost of crude exports proves U.S. sanctions' "failure": spokesman

TEHRAN, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said the recent increase in Iran's oil exports is a sign of the failure of the U.S. sanction pressures, semi-official Mehr news agency reported on Sunday.

"Western media acknowledgment of Iran's record-breaking oil exports (for the first time) over the past three years is another sign of the failure of maximum pressure against the Iranian people," Bahadori Jahromi was quoted as saying.

Maintaining Iran's peaceful nuclear capacities never removed from negotiation table: Shamkhani

Tehran (ISNA) - Iran's secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Shamkhani stressed that maintaining and strengthening Iran's peaceful nuclear capacities and defense capabilities are the options that will never be removed from the negotiating table.

Shamkhani posted a tweet after the February 11 ceremony held across Iran to celebrate the 43rd anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
