AMMAN, Nov 1 (NNN-PETRA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan, yesterday, underlined the importance of a ceasefire and an immediate humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip, during a phone call with U.S. President Joe Biden, according to a statement by Jordan’s Royal Hashemite Court.

During their discussion on the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the Jordanian king underlined the need to guarantee the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave.

AMMAN, Oct 29 (NNN-PETRA/BNA) – Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, and visiting Bahraini Foreign Minister, Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, yesterday stressed the importance of joint Arab action, to halt the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, according to a statement from the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.

AMMAN/CAIRO, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Protesters from Jakarta to Tunis on Friday demanded an end to Israel's bombardment of Gaza after nearly two weeks of intense air and artillery strikes that authorities there say have killed 4,100 people.

Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi, said yesterday that, the cancellation of the summit was due to the ongoing Israeli assault against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

AMMAN, Oct 16 (NNN-PETRA) – Jordanian King Abdullah II, yesterday warned against Israel’s attempts to displace Palestinians or force their internal displacement.

In separate phone calls with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Felipe VI of Spain, the Jordanian king urged joint efforts to galvanise international support to stop the escalation in Gaza, protect civilians, and respect international humanitarian law, according to a statement released by the Royal Hashemite Court.

AMMAN/BEIRUT, Oct 14 (Reuters) - Calls for a humanitarian corridor or an escape route for Palestinians from Gaza as a conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas has escalated have drawn a blunt reaction from Arab neighbours.

Egypt, the only Arab state to share a border with Gaza, and Jordan, which is next to the Israeli-occupied West Bank, have both warned against Palestinians being forced off their land.

AMMAN, Oct 8 (Reuters) - Jordan's King Abdullah said on Sunday there was a need to intensify diplomatic efforts to prevent escalating Israel-Palestinian violence with "dangerous repercussions" for the region's security.

In comments made on state media, Abdullah said contacts with regional and international parties were underway to discuss "urgent international action to avoid an escalation and prevent the region from the consequences of a new round of violence."
