Russian Security Council warns about risks of Kiev’s provocations in Crimea

MOSCOW, November 21. /TASS/: Risks of provocations by Ukrainian special services and radical organizations in Crimea and against economic and transport facilities in the Azov and Black Seas have increased in the recent time, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Alexander Grebenkin said in an interview with the Rossiiskaya Gazeta daily.

Putin has been revaccinated against COVID-19, Russian agencies say

MOSCOW, Nov 21 (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has been revaccinated against COVID-19, Russian news agencies quoted him as saying on Sunday.

Putin said in June 2021 that he had been vaccinated with Sputnik V vaccine.

"Today, on your recommendation and that of your colleagues, I got another vaccination, Sputnik Light. This is called revaccination," Putin said at a meeting with the deputy director of the Gamaleya Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology, which developed both vaccines.

Russia: Astra carrier rocket with US Space Force payload successfully reaches orbit

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/: A carrier rocket developed by the American company Astra with a test cargo of the US Space Force has successfully reached orbit, the company reported on its Twitter page.

The launch took place at 21:16 local time (09:16 Moscow time on Saturday) from the Pacific Spaceport Complex on Kodiak Island (Alaska).

Earlier, the company postponed the launch initially scheduled for Thursday.

The previous launch in late August ended in failure: a couple of minutes after the launch, the rocket's engines turned off and it lost stability.

‘Not up to US congressmen’ to select Russia’s president, Duma Speaker says

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/: The initiatives of US congressmen to end recognition of Vladimir Putin as president of Russia if he is re-elected in 2024 indicate that Russian citizens made a correct choice in 2018 and it’s not up to the US Congress to decide who will become the country’s leader, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin wrote on his Telegram channel on Saturday.

Russia detects 37,120 COVID-19 cases over 24 hours, crisis center says

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/: Russia has registered 37,120 new confirmed COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours with the total number of infections reaching 9,294,188 cases, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Saturday. According to the crisis center, the relative increase of new infections is at the level of 0.4%.

Northern European cooperation formats should promote unifying agenda — Lavrov

MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/: Russia advocates promotion of a unifying agenda within the Northern European multilateral formats amid the growing NATO activity near Russian borders, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in the wake of his talks with OSCE Chairwoman, Foreign Minister of Sweden Ann Linde.

Lavrov noted that, despite the growing tensions, the sides still retain fields of cooperation in the Baltic Region and in Northern Europe.

Russia records another 37,156 coronavirus cases — crisis center

MOSCOW, November 19. /TASS/: Russia's coronavirus cases rose by 37,156 to 9,257,068 in the past 24 hours, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Friday.

Russia's coronavirus growth rate was 0.4%.

In particular, 2,714 coronavirus cases were reported in St. Petersburg in the past day, 1,777 in the Moscow region, 1,764 in the Samara region, 903 in the Krasnodar region and 884 in Crimea.

According to data from the crisis center, there are currently 1,039,225 active coronavirus cases in Russia.

Russia: TASS correspondent and two space tourists leave for Baikonur

MOSCOW, November 19. / TASS /: The crew of the Soyuz MS-20 spacecraft consisting of cosmonaut Alexander Misurkin, who will be the first TASS correspondent onboard the orbital outpost, Japanese billionaire Yusako Maezawa and his assistant Yozo Hirano flew to Baikonur in order to complete preparations for the flight to the International Space Station (ISS), Roscosmos stated on Friday.

"Today, on November 19, 2021, at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center, the crew members were escorted to the Baikonur," the statement reads.
