Venezuelans to march against US blockade

CARACAS, Aug 31 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — Venezuelans will march in defense of national sovereignty and against the blockade imposed by the United States on the South American nation, according to Francisco Torrealba, vice president of the working class section of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

The popular mobilization is slated for Saturday, 10:00 a.m. local time, marching from Morelos square to the Miraflores Presidential Palace.

‘All the workers of Venezuela and worldwide in solidarity will take to the streets and say No More Trump, Yes to the government of our President Nicolás Maduro,’ Torrealba stated.

The anti-imperialist march is part of the worldwide ‘No More Trump’ protests, which began on Aug 10 in rejection of coercive US measures which generate millions in damages to the country, as well as difficulty in acquiring medical and food supplies to meet the Venezuelan people’s needs.
