TEHRAN, Dec 18 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iran is hosting an international meeting, on regional security, today (Wednesday), Ali Shamkhani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, announced.
Shamkhani said in a statement that, the 2nd meeting of the Regional Security Dialogue, will be held in Tehran with the attendance of top security officials from Iran, Russia, China, India, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The one-day gathering will focus on the issue of Afghanistan and the fight against various forms of terrorism in the country, Shamkhani said.
On the sidelines of the event, bilateral meetings between the national security advisers and secretaries attending the meeting will be held.
The first Regional Security Dialogue was held in Tehran, in Sept last year, to discuss increasing regional cooperation against terrorism.
