MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/: The number of coronavirus cases in Russia has risen by 954 over the past day to 6,343 in 80 regions, the crisis center told reporters on Monday.
Some 406 people have recovered and 47 people have died of the coronavirus.
"As of today, some 6,343 cases of the coronavirus infection have been registered in 80 regions in the Russian Federation. Over the past day, 51 people have been discharged after recovering. A total of 406 people have recovered over the entire period. Two patients in the Moscow Region and the Komi Republic have died over the past day. Forty-seven people have died in Russia over the entire period," the crisis center said.
According to the latest data, the number of coronavirus cases in Moscow has grown by 591, reaching 4,848. Besides, the new coronavirus cases have been recorded in 48 Russian regions. Among them is the Moscow Region (82), St. Petersburg (35), the Komi Republic (31), the Tatarstan Republic (16), the Krasnodar Region (11), the Ivanovo Region (10), the Tula Region (10), the Vologda Region (10), the Voronezh Region (9), the Stavropol Region (9), the Mari El Republic (9) and the Nizhny Novgorod Region (9). Eight cases have been recorded in the Lipetsk and Tambov Regions and the Buryatia Republic. The Volgograd Region has reported seven cases, the Arkhangelsk Region and the Adygeya Republic - six cases, the Bryansk, Ryazan, Leningrad, Dagestan, Penza and Altai Regions - five cases. Four cases have been registered in the Belgorod, Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk Regions, and three cases in the Murmansk, North Ossetia, Krasnoyarsk and Irkutsk Regions. The Vladimir, Tver, Karelia, Novgorod, Chuvashia, Orenburg, Khakassia and Kemerovo Regions have registered two cases. One case was recorded in the Kaluga, Kostroma, Orlov, Smolensk, Pskov and Ulyanovsk Regions and the Republics of Chechnya, Mordovia and Crimea.
Over the past day, 25 people have been discharged in St. Petersburg, eight in Moscow, four in the Krasnodar Region and the Dagestan Republic, three in Crimea and the Nizhny Novgorod. One person has left hospital in the Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, Tula and Samara Regions.
According to the latest data, more than 1,300,000 people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide and nearly 70,000 deaths have been reported. Earlier, the Russian government set up an Internet hotline to keep the public updated on the coronavirus situation.
