Delhi; 14 Sep 2020 (UMMN): Union Home Minister Amit Shah has been readmitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Saturday, nearly two weeks after he was discharged from the hospital. Shah has been undergoing post-Covid-19 care and was having breathing difficulty.
55-year-old BJP leader was tested positive for coronavirus, and was admitted to Medanta – a private hospital in Gurgaon on August 2.
Two weeks later, he was admitted to the AIIMS on August 18 after he complained of "fatigue and body ache", and left the hospital 13 days later on August 31, after the doctors said that he had "recovered".
The monsoon session of the parliament begins today. According to NDTV, “with 200 out of 785 members of parliament above 65 years of age, and at least seven Union Ministers and two dozen lawmakers recovering from COVID-19, the coronavirus pandemic has cast a shadow over the monsoon session...”
