MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/: Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 23,280 over the past day to 17,762,742, a new low since January 13, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Sunday.
In absolute terms, it reached 0.13%.
As many as 2,203 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, 48.5% fewer than in the previous day. The number of hospitalized patients declined in 79 regions.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 867 over the past day versus 925 a day earlier, reaching 2,736,090, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 1,105 over the past day versus 1,145 a day earlier, reaching 1,496,291.
COVID-19 recoveries
Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 47,540 over the past day, reaching 16,654,231, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday.
The share of patients discharged from hospitals has risen to 93.8% of the total number of those infected.
A day earlier some 60,933 patients recovered.
COVID-19 death toll
Russia’s COVID-19 death toll surged by 338 over the past day to 367,351, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Sunday.
A day earlier 395 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
The average mortality rate went down to 2.07%, according to the crisis center.
