NOVO-OGARYOVO, April 19. /TASS/: Relations between Russia and Armenia are at their highest level, including cooperation in all key industries of both countries, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Tuesday.
"This visit is not only of a practical importance but also of a symbolic significance, because it is devoted to the 30-year establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries and it shows that relations between our states are at the very high level," the Armenian premier, who is currently on an official visit in Moscow, said.
"We maintain permanent contacts, often meet, hold telephone conversations," Pashinyan continued. "Our agenda of bilateral relations is packed starting with issues of economy and ending up with issues of cultural and military and technical cooperation."
The Russian president noted that the Days of Armenian Culture in Russia and the Days of the Russian Spiritual Culture in Armenia were announced particularly before the visit of the Armenian prime minister and the 30-year anniversary of diplomatic relations’ establishment between the two countries.
"You have mentioned cooperation in the sphere of culture," Putin said speaking with Pashinyan. "Prior to your visit and the 30-year anniversary of diplomatic relations’ establishment have declared the Days of the Armenian Culture in Russia and the Days of the Russian Spiritual Culture in Armenia. I believe they will attract great attention and will be of significant use."
Pashinyan arrived on a two-day official visit to Russia earlier on Tuesday. Besides the talks with the Russian president, Pashinyan planned to meet with his Russian counterpart, Mikhail Mishustin, Speaker of the Russian State Duma (the Russian parliament’s lower house) Vyacheslav Volodin, and Speaker of the Federation Council (the Russian parliament’s upper house) Valentina Matviyenko.
The Armenian prime minister also plans to pay a visit to the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod on the Volga River.
