Four men were arrested in Northern Ireland's Londonderry on Sunday in connection with Saturday's apparent car bombing in the town center.

Two of the men, 34 and 42, were arrested late on Sunday, hours after police detained two other men in their twenties.

The German government has prepared sanctions against Iranian airline Mahan Air in connection to Iran's illegal activities in Europe, including the discovery of a spy working as a translator for the country's armed forces , German media reported on Monday.

In 2018, more refugees were transferred from Germany to other EU member states than ever before, according to an Interior Ministry report obtained by German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung. The report was a response to a parliamentary inquiry by the Left Party.

SKOPJE, Macedonia (AP) — Macedonia’s government has ordered the winter break for students to be extended to Jan. 23 because of extremely high levels of toxic particles in the air in many cities throughout the country.

The government said in a statement Sunday that the measure is to “shorten the time of exposure of students to air pollution and to protect their health.”

City authorities in the capital Skopje also have introduced free public transport and have doubled the prices for parking in order to force people not to use private cars.

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — Romanian authorities say an airplane flying from Cyprus to the Romanian capital has made an emergency landing in the Black Sea port of Constanta because of a problem with the wing flaps. Nobody has been reported injured.

Authorities said the Romanian airline Blue Air flight from Larnaca to Bucharest, carrying 109 passengers and crew, landed safely in Constanta on Sunday afternoon.

The director of Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport, Bogdan Artagea, said the pilot had asked to land because he couldn’t open the wing flaps.

ATHENS, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A mass rally held in front of the Greek parliament in Athens over the Macedonia name deal was marred by violent clashes on Sunday.

Syntagma Square was converted into a battlefield when hooded protesters, trying to get into the parliament's courtyard, threw rocks and firebombs at riot police. Police forces used tear gas to repel the attempt.

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Police in Barcelona have arrested seven people on suspicion of attacking cars that work with ride-hailing apps like Uber and Cabify as part of a protest by taxi drivers that turned violent on Friday.

The attacks occurred after taxi drivers announced an indefinite strike protesting a regional government plan to regulate the ride-hailing services, which they argued was too lax.
