BAGHDAD, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani on Monday rejected attacks targeting the country's military bases housing experts of the U.S.-led coalition forces, according to a statement by al-Sudani's media office.

The statement came a day after an armed group calling itself "The Islamic Resistance in Iraq" claimed responsibility for launching an attack on an airbase housing military experts of the U.S.-led coalition forces in Iraq's western province of Anbar.

According to the statement, al-Sudani has ordered security services to track down and prosecute the perpetrators of the attacks.

The experts were officially invited by the Iraqi government to train and advise its security forces, and the safety and security of the coalition headquarters in Iraqi bases cannot be compromised, read the statement.
