Love for goats made him Babu Bakra in Jajmau

 Indian goat

Kanpur: Babu Bakra is an unique man. He takes utmost interest in rearing goats. This is his natural habit as he himself cares the animals. He even gives them strange names. It is only he who knows how to select or choose the particular names for his pet goats. Every year he buys a pair of immature male goats and rears them with full interest and devotion.

As he possesses sufficient space, he has raised a particular covered space for them. He does not forget to lend time in care of the small kids. His hard larbour in the upkeep looks remarkable when these kids become mature after a few months. These look sturdy, clean and humble towards a master like him. Anyone looking at these goats appreciates the owner for good rearing.

On one evening when an acquaintance said to him, "Bakra and its owner look similar in bodily appearance." Hearing these very words shyness writ large on his face. He could feel awkward for the direct jeer. He tried to conceal his visible uneasiness but could not wholly succeed in his attempt. He paused to say anything in the reply and started laughing.

Soon the acquaintance moved on and he also turned towards the goats' place as the bleating sound was coming clearly. Three times a day he goes before the goats and does what is required. But the important point remains unexplained. He became famous as Babu Bakra because of his liking for the goats.

First name is his pet name while Bakra is obviously called so. Bakra got affixed with his surname. He does not object on this new name. He receives it with as much elation as he feels at the time of firing an airgun. He accepts it, and feels through it. How he feels, is in reality, not at all in line with how others necessarily think of him.
