India: Govindnagar bypoll: Congress nominee shows spirit for public good

Kanpur: It is great to try new things in order to extend one's reach to the common people. The contestants fighting the byelection àt Govindnagar assembly seat are applying the distinct ploys to catch voters' support.

The Congress party candidate Karishma Thakur in order to show her extreme love for the area people holds a spade to fill up the pit. She was seen engaged in covering the pit with the clay. She wanted to prove her dedication towards the people's good.

On Friday she reached Maswanpur where a road cavity was existing near Namak factory between a temple and Brahmdev crossing in Rawatpur area. The road was thoroughly dilapidated here. Even the deep pit found on the road used to be filled with dirty water. She showed her capacity to level the unrepaired pit. One cart full of clay was downloaded on the spot. She herself engaged in putting clay into the cavity. Her clothes even got splashed with the mud. Her efforts bore less fruit as associates or workers stayed inactive. They appeared to have not wanted to spoil their clean clothes.

People present as the spectators were overheard saying this was just a planned endeavour to gain the political benefit, but they lauded the action of the young aspirant in view of the by-election. She had entered into the political arena during her college days.
