Kanpur: After a gap of several weeks the Jajmauites passed Friday in the full bright sun over the head. Ample sunshine made them enjoy the warmth in the midst of nature's bounties.
Despite the cloudy weather, the Sunrays were reaching in an ample quantity on the living earth. Though the minimum temperature stays at 5 degrees Celsius, the sun provided substantial respite to the residents living in tannery town here.
What annoyed housewives most was the icy wind blowing with high speed. Several of them told they could not relish the sun's heat at the sixth-storey building because of colder wintry winds. They succeeded in drying their wet hand-washed clothes on the high-rise structure for the sun made its rays spreading all over the space. It was also a respite for them. 'Life in flats deprive residents of the sun's heat', said a lady named Azra.
