Passenger tried to jump out of the Air Moldova plane at 10,000M

CHISINAU, November 23. /TASS/.A passenger on Thursday’s Air Moldova flight from Moscow to Chisinau (flight number 9U 176) suddenly lost his cool and became unruly at an altitude of 10,000 meters (32,800 feet) and even tried to open the door in an attempt to jump out, the newspaper Argumenty i Fakty Moldova said on Friday.

"We were cruising at 10,000 meters when an air hostess approached me to ask for help, a member of Moldova’s parliament, Grigory Novak told the newspaper. "She told me one of the passengers was trying to force the door open and jump out. I followed the hostess, elbowed the man away from the door and tried to calm him down without causing any panic on board."

Novak was on his way back to Moldova from Moscow, where stayed as a member of President Igor Dodon’s delegation. The legislator said the man looked like he ‘wasn’t playing with a full deck.’ He demanded to open the door and ignored all requests to calm down. To avoid panic on board Novak and some other Moldovan legislators tied up the troublemaker, who was handed over to police when the plane landed.

"Well done, colleagues," President Dodon said on his Facebook page.

There has been no comment from Air Moldova about the incident yet.
