BISHKEK, June 17 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Kyrgyzstan’s ruling coalition, on Tuesday, nominated Kubatbek Boronov, for the post of prime minister, after his predecessor Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev resigned, on Monday, following allegations of corruption.
Speaking in parliament, Boronov said that, the new government would be “technical” and work until the formation of a new parliament.
He said, his cabinet would focus efforts on tackling the spread of COVID-19, and preparing for the parliamentary elections, scheduled for Oct 4.
Boronov served as the first deputy prime minister in the previous cabinet, and the minister of emergency situations, prior to that.
