India: Hardware shop burgled near Maharajpur police station in Kanpur

Kanpur: A hardware shop was burgled in a very vicious style. It was existing at a distance of only 100 mts from Maharajpur police station. The burglars were putting on a police uniform and helmet.

No arrest has been made so far. The Police are busy in solving the case on the clues received through the close circuit camera footage. The police station officer Raghvendra Singh told that the search of the burglars was going on the basis of CCTV footage.

According to available reports, as many as five burglars came near the shop on Thursday late night. First two of them entered into the shop by breaking the shutter. After a few minutes, two more burglars arrived on the spot and they also entered into the shop. They came on two separate bikes, and three of them were wearing police uniform, as the police got to know after checking the CCTV footage.

It was also cleared that the shop existed near Hathipur Mod by the side of highway just 100 metres from Maharajpur PS.

The shop owner, resident of Bibipur in Chakeri area, learnt about the burglary on Friday morning. He told that a cash amount of Rs sixty thousand, silver coins and a cheque worth Rs fifty thousand were also kept into the box in the shop.
