Kanpur: It is not only one takes into one's possession another's land but one case has startled us.
This is the possession of the government land by the government body itself.
The KDA has taken lands of the KMC into its possession and went on building houses under the Kanshiram Yojna.
The Development Authority did not care to check the owner of the land which, as Mayor Pramila Pandey said, solely belonged to Kanpur Municipal Corporation.
She further added action will be initiated on those who made constructions on the land.
Referring to Khata no 001in Dabauli village she said that the KMC has been recorded as owner. The KDA has taken into possession of 76 Aarazi lands. Nullah, roads, schools, flats, etc stand on the land. The documents will be searched at the Sampatti Vibhag of the Corporation.
