Feral cows are a nuisance in India causing serious injuries, damage to property and traffic disorder. Yet they are protected animals, and eating or selling beef is illegal in most states of India. A crazy group called gau-rakshaks, encouraged by the ruling BJP, have killed people to protect these cows/bulls.
