Kanpur: There is difference in parking charges at the medical college here. If there is spurt in rate at Cardiology institute, other places provide parking at cheaper rate.
Undeniably the vehicle parking charge at Cardiology institute in GSVM College has been far higher than other parking slots at the LLR Hospital.
It is to be noted here that there runs three separate stands at LLR hospital. There has been no increase in the rate there. Although the rate between bike and car may vary.
However, expressing his surprise at hike in parking charge, Dr R B Kamal, principal of medical College has said of taking this matter to the director.
Earlier, there was parking stand outside the first building of the Cardiology institute. On account of the work on metro rail project parking has been shifted to another side of the IDH.
This is tepmporary arrangement for the vehicles coming to the Cardiology institute. The vehicles like the cars and the bikes are parking at the same stand at this institute.
There has been placed no board informing of the parking rate. Along with this flaw, there is also given no information about the official whom the complaint would be handed over.
It is being said that a sum of Rs 50 is charged for parking bike for a whole day. While the fixed charge is Rs 20 for bike and Rs 40 for the car. But, a sum of Rs 10 is charged for parking bike at J K Institute of Cancer and Lala Lajpat Rai Hospital. There is no extra charge for bike parking for 24 hours at LLR. A sum of Rs 30 is taken for car parking. If parking chares have not been increased, why does anomaly persist?
