Kanpur: There is no end to a road accident in the district. Recently, as many as 18 bus passengers were died after a collision with a loader in Sachendi. Now, a bus in a bid to overtake a truck was overturned at Kisan Nagar in Sachendi on Monday night.
Sitting on the bus 32 passengers started shrieking. On information of the people, the police admitted the injured bus passengers at the hospital. Seriously injured five passengers were taken to Hallet.
Two passengers after primary treatment were sent to the destination along with other passengers. While one seriously hurt boy, his mother and one old lady were sent to Lala Lajpat Rai hospital here.
The bus was directed towards Jhansi from Gorakhpur.
According to the reports, the bus driver was booked under drinking.
As many as five passengers were injured in which two were seriously hurt. A 15 years old Raunaq, resident of Urai, his mother Khusboo and 75 years old Shiv Kumari were seriously injured, said SP ( outer) Ashtbhuja Prasad.
Vehicles were stopped due to the incident on road.The passengers told the police that the bus driver had taken drink at a dhaba on Jolupur Mod. On the basis of the statements given by the passengers a report has been filed against the driver, informed the police.
