24 June 2021; MEMO: The Palestinian resistance in the besieged Gaza Strip has said that it will not agree to have Qatari aid for Palestinian families living in poverty be channeled through the UN, Arabi21 reported.
Quoting a prominent source from the Palestinian resistance, Arabi21 said that the Palestinians in Gaza are thinking of boycotting the UN Envoy to the Peace Process Tor Wennesland.
"The Palestinian resistance is angry with the position of the UN envoy," the source said, "because he adopts the demands of the Israeli occupation, while he should be only a messenger."
"The Palestinian resistance refused to tie the reconstruction of Gaza with the reopening of the crossings and the prisoners' issue," the source said, adding that they told the mediators that they are "committed to protection our people and we will deal with the siege as part of the state of war. Therefore, we will respond to the siege in the way we see appropriate if the occupation continues its procrastination."
The source also said that the Palestinian resistance "is not in a hurry" and that it "will never come under the pressure of time because it holds several powerful cards in addition to the national and popular support based on international law."
