Kanpur: Thirty per cent of examinees remained absent on Saturday's Trained Graduate Teacher examinations held in two different shifts. The examinations continued on Sunday.
As many as eleven examination centres were designated in the district. In the first shift, a total of 13% of examinees were found to be absent while in the second shift 17% of examinees did not appear.
It means that as many as 553 examinees were absent in the first shift while as many as 931 remained absent in the second shift.
Detailing about the arrangements, Satish Tiwari, DIOS, said that examinees reached the examination centres half hour before the start of the examination.
He further said the Covid guidelines were entirely followed on the occasion.
On the whole, examinations were conducted peacefully. Though examinees were seen without masks at a Centre. The crowd was there. Social distancing was also not followed.
The examination is conducted by Uttar Pradesh Secondary Service Selection Board.
