Kanpur: The Kanpur Development Authority will use a remote sensing application to check illegal constructions and verify properties.
A meeting to this effect was held with the KDA officials and the scientist Kapil Saini here. With the help of the images received through the Indian Cartosaf Satellite of the science and technology ministry, it will be able to initiate supervision.
The meeting also discussed how to bring into use the technology in the identification of the KDA's all types of assets and also to bring the imaging for the digital layout.
Verification of the residential assets of KDA will ascertain the fact in further detail. Thus allotment of plots/buildings will become easier thereby help increase the authority's revenue.
The VC directed officials concerned to coordinate among all the different sections of the office so that the assigned work should be completed promptly.
Further, on the complaint regarding the allotment of disputed land the VC stressed the need for the land's physical verification.
Directing the subordinates to form a five-member committee under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary and incharge of the departments, he said the panel would study various stages in the execution of the sale deed. A procedural report will be submitted to the VC within ten days.
