Kanpur: With the clouds and sun the evening temperature gives a feel of 41 degrees Celsius in Jajmau here. The people are praying in their daily prayers for rains at cats and dogs.

Though in the forenoon and later too there was extreme sun over us. People were seen getting at shady space but it was hard to find.
On the Petrol Pump, there was a sufficient crowd but those waiting for getting free air had to feel the extreme brunt of the heat till their number did not come. One scooty owner was too disturbed with the hotness tried to stand under the shadow of a plastic cover anyhow.
Further, at a clinic the attendants were also not feeling easy as the stretch of space was shadowless. The Nagar Nigam needs to make arrangements for artificial covers at certain spots. But this is a far cry.
The people only ask one query: When will the rain come? The face and clothes of the people remain wet with heavy perspiration.
