Kanpur: The Green Park International Stadium will soon have its museum. The gallery is being developed on the back portion of the director's pavilion.
Divisional Commissioner Raj Shekhar is overseeing the project and organising the development.
A state-of-the-art visitors' gallery will be inaugurated at the museum in a few weeks.
The museum aims to chronicle the significant history of the one-time permanent Test centre.
This includes knowledge about Green Park's development, the matches played here, rare photographs and texts, and memorabilia such as trophies, bats, and other cricketing equipment used by players on the field.
Besides, there is also a plan to exhibit a short documentary based on this stadium.
The visitors' gallery will also be decorated with relevant material about the stadium and about cricketers who achieved distinctions there.
The visitors' gallery is currently being raised in the back portion of the first floor of the Director's Pavillion.
