Kanpur: The District Magistrate has undertaken the task of revamping the face of rural schools, with modular fits and upgrade.
Notably, schools from each development block have been chosen for the program to ensure wide reach and development.
All construction work carried here will be attached with students and will be performed to improve a child-friendly atmosphere on the premises.
Around 30 master trainers from UNICEF have been deployed to complete the task.
These global associates are engaged in trainning pradhan and villagers, including secretaries and teachers of identified schools to promote the facelift project.
All master trainers have been directed to ensure that any changes made in the schools are by the proposed institute model.
Basic provisions such as separate lavatories for boys and girls and an interlocking path from the main gate to the school verandah will be furnished under the banner of this project.
The beautification plans like the painting on boundary walls will also be carried out.
The listed schools once upgraded will be able to support the set-up of smart classes, which can also be used to conduct online sessions for the students.
This will help improve the accessibility of formal school education in rural areas, even if the institutes are shut to cold weather or pandemic concerns.
