09 Dec 2021; MEMO: Israeli Air Force (IAF) is going to hold a massive military drill over the Mediterranean this coming spring, using dozens of aircraft simulating strike on Iran, Israeli media revealed on Wednesday evening.
Unsourced report published by Israel's Kan broadcaster stated that the drill is going to be one of the largest ever held by the IAF.
According to the source, F-15, F-35 and F-16 aircrafts are to take part in the drill, as well as Gulfstream G550 spy planes and refueling jets.
The Kan report said that the aircrafts will conduct the drill over the Mediterranean to simulate the distance that they would need to travel in a strike against Iran's nuclear facilities.
It stated that the distance needed is approximately over 1,000 kilometres (620 miles), adding that the drill is planned to take place in six months.
The Times of Israel said that the Israeli army did not comment on the report, but stated it came following stepping up rhetoric by Israeli officials against Iran's nuclear programme and the talks with world powers in Vienna.
Iranian officials said that Israel lies to the world in order to spoil the ongoing nuclear talks.
