07 Feb 2022; MEMO: The Turkish defence industry has made new deliveries of Bayraktar TB2 unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV) to the Turkish Land Forces Command, the top defence body's head, Anadolu News Agency reports.
According to the report, Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) Chairperson in Turkey, Ismail Demir, said the SSB had successfully delivered the Baykar-made combat drones.
He noted that the newly delivered drones are equipped with the leading defence firm Aselsan-developed Common Aperture Targeting System (CATS).
CATS is a high-performance electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system designed for fixed-wing and rotary-wing airborne platforms, including unmanned air systems (UASs), helicopters and aircraft.
"We recently delivered new Bayraktar TB2s manufactured by Baykar to our Land Forces Command. Furthermore, our 'Cats' cameras, which were manufactured in-house, were used in the UAVs we delivered. Best wishes," Demir also wrote on his social media account.
A video of Bayraktar TB2s in flight was also included in the post.
