Kanpur: Three unknown miscreants entered a house and looted a couple at gunpoint in district's Mardanpur village. The thieves also stole gold jewellery & Rs 45,000 cash from the house.

The thieves entered from the roof around 1:30 a.m. at night and woke up the family. They held the family at gunpoint and swords and stole Lalita's mangalsutra, earrings and other jewellery.
The thieves stole Rs 45,000 cash and locked the victims inside the house. They left the house after locking the family.
In the morning, when the family did not respond to the milkman, he thought to inform Amit's brother, who came to know of the matter.
He wasted no time in freeing the family members. After the complaint was lodged, the police came into action.
Police reached the spot with a forensic team and dog squad to start the adequate investigation.
