Kanpur: A rare species of white Himalayan vulture has been found again. A white vulture was wandering around the district to find its mate kept by the forest department.

Reportedly it has been caught in the forest of Kayamganj, 150 kms away from here.

Following the catch, the white vulture has been brought to the Kanpur zoo and kept in a cage next to its companion.

Earlier, a white vulture was also caught in the city. It was exactly found on January 7.

This too has been kept in the care of Dr. Anurag Singh of Kanpur Zoo. He says that it has been quarantined for fifteen days. We are now giving him medicine to relieve stress and vitamins.

Dr. Anurag Singh told that this pair has not been mixed yet because both are under stress.

It is very difficult to identify their sex--- male or female.

DNA tests can ascertain who is male and who is female.

Now after keeping them for 15 days, both of them will be brought together into a cage.
