Indian Polls: Full polling at one booth of Sisamau Assly area

KANPUR: What has been immensely appreciated by the district election officer/ district magistrate V V Pant is hundred percent voting at city's one polling booth. The voters numbered 1119 who cast their votes. None of them was absent on April 29. A record has been established by the voters' enthusiasm. No other polling booth has seen this marvellous act. The booth at Alam Chand Vidyamandir Junior high school, Gandhinagar of Sisamau assembly has registered  hundred percent voting while another booth at Railway auditorium, Anwarganj of the same assembly area polled only 189 votes out of 656 voters.

It would be an example for the electorates. The voters have shown their intense liking for exercise of their constitutional right.

Complete data related with the voting percentage are reportedly not sent to the commission. There has been laxity in timely dispatch of data of voting in Cantt and Arya Nagar assemblies' areas.
