India: Goat sellers want to make profitable sale on Bakrid

Kanpur: Sticky weather once again disturbs the Jajmauites. The real feel of the mercury stays at 43 degrees Celsius on Tuesday afternoon. Intervals of clouds and sunshine pervade the day's sky.

People find it relatively hard to move in the space the goat markets are arranged. In the absence of the shadow of the trees, they do not wait for long to buy the sacrificial goat.

At a makeshift market, the sellers were more than the buyers. The sellers are not reducing the price at any moment. There remains one more day for the festival.

Their mood remains so different that after payment of the agreed amount the seller started demanding for additional five hundred rupees. What a piece of trading!

This year's peculiarity is that the rate does not come down a little less than rupees ten thousand. In most cases, they are asking for a handsome amount ranging between thirteen to fifteen thousand rupees.

One was overheard saying the goat sellers are not entering the allotted space for sale because they do not want to pay the little charges by the authority concerned. They are seen moving on the vacant road. There is no doubt that devouts are attempting to buy the goat at a reasonable rate.
