VLADIVOSTOK, September 8. /TASS/: Aeroflot airline plans to create a hub in the Far East, Chief Executive Officer of the national flag carrier Sergey Aleksandrovsky told reporters on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).

"Aeroflot Group plans to base aircraft in the Far East and form a program, which may be called a regional base or a hub, with both international and domestic flights planned," he said.

Vladivostok or Khabarovsk are under consideration for hosting a base airport, Aleksandrovsky added.

07 Sep 2022; MEMO: Russian President, Vladimir Putin, said on Wednesday that almost all Ukraine's grain was transported to the EU countries, Anadolu News Agency reports.

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on Wednesday, Putin warned that an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe may arise in the world because the West exports most of the Ukrainian grain to its countries, and not to the countries in need in Africa.

VLADIVOSTOK, September 7. /TASS/: Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will fulfill its contracts, but will not supply gas, oil, or coal at a loss.

"There are contractual obligations, supply contracts. But if any political decisions are made that contradict the contracts, we simply will not comply with them. We will not supply anything at all if it contradicts our interests," he said on Wednesday at the Eastern Economic Forum.

(AP) --- Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to meet next week in Uzbekistan for talks that could signal warming relations between two powers that are increasingly facing off against the West.

The meeting at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization — a political, economic and security forum that China and Russia dominate — comes at delicate times for both leaders, and it would be their second face-to-face meeting this year.

VLADIVOSTOK, September 6. /TASS/: Russia and Myanmar signed a roadmap for cooperation on peaceful use of nuclear energy for 2022-2023, the press service of Russian nuclear corporation Rosatom reported on Tuesday.

The parties to the agreement are Rosatom and the Ministry of Science and Technology together with the Ministry of Electric Power of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The signing ceremony took place at the Eastern Economic Forum.

MOSCOW, September 6. /TASS/: The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has summed up the results of its inspection visit to the nuclear power facilities in Ukraine, including the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant (ZNPP), and published a corresponding report on Tuesday. The agency suggested setting up a safety and security zone surrounding the ZNPP to prevent emergencies, which may be caused by military activities.
