YEREVAN, November 10. /TASS/: Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan signed a complete ceasefire agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh based on a recommendation from the country’s armed forces, as he himself said in a live broadcast on Facebook on Tuesday.

"I made such a decision after the army had, in fact, insisted on it. You can imagine a situation where the army says that it is time to stop," he pointed out.

YEREVAN, Armenia (AP) — Armenia and Azerbaijan announced an agreement early Tuesday to halt fighting over the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan under a pact signed with Russia that calls for deployment of nearly 2,000 Russian peacekeepers and territorial concessions.

Nagorno-Karabakh has been under the control of ethnic Armenian forces backed by Armenia since a 1994 truce ended a separatist war in which an estimated 30,000 people died. Sporadic clashes occurred since then, and full-scale fighting began on Sept. 27.

YEREVAN, November 4. /TASS/: The Azerbaijani armed forces fired at the city of Shusha in Nagorno-Karabakh using heavy guns, which resulted in casualties and destruction, the Armenian Single Information Center reported on Wednesday.

"The Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired at Shusha from heavy guns. There are casualties among the civilians, and there are a lot of destruction in the city," the statement said.

YEREVAN/BAKU, Nov 3 (NNN-AGENCIES) — Armenia’s prime minister called for an international investigation into the presence of “foreign mercenaries” in Nagorno-Karabakh after ethnic Armenian forces said they had captured two mercenaries from Syria.

Azerbaijian has repeatedly denied the presence of foreign combatants in the conflict zone. Its ministry of defence was not immediately available for comment.
