China stock exchange for entrepreneurs launches in Beijing

BEIJING (AP) — A stock exchange set up in the Chinese capital to serve entrepreneurs opened trading Monday with 81 companies amid a crackdown on tech giants that has wiped more than $1 trillion off their market value abroad.

The Beijing Stock Exchange joins others in Shanghai and the southern city of Shenzhen. Mainland exchanges are mostly off-limits to foreign investors, but some Chinese companies have shares traded in Hong Kong, a separate Chinese territory that is open to global capital.

NBP ready to facilitate Chinese companies to relocate industrial units in Pakistan

BEIJING, Nov 14 (APP): Chief Representative of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) in China, Shaikh Muhammad Shariq said that his bank is ready to facilitate the Chinese companies to relocate their businesses and industrial units to Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework.

“As we are about to enter into the second phase of CPEC, which is more focused on industrial cooperation, we are again ready to facilitate the Chinese companies to relocate in Pakistan”, he said while addressing Pakistan-China Economic and Business Forum.

Indonesia: Residents To Be Evacuated After Oil Refinery Tank Caught Fire In Central Java

JAKARTA, Nov 14 (NNN-ANTARA) – An oil refinery tank, in Indonesia’s Central Java province, caught fire last night, and residents living around the facility would be evacuated, as firefighters were battling the blaze, the country’s state oil and gas firm PT Pertamina said.

The company ensured in a statement that, the supplies of oil and liquefied petroleum gas for buyers were not disrupted by the accident.

The fire broke out at an oil refinery tank in Cilacap district, at about 7:20 p.m. Jakarta time, (1220 GMT), the statement said.

Scores evacuated in fire at Indonesia’s largest oil refinery

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — A fire at a gasoline storage at the largest oil refinery on Indonesia’s Java island near Jakarta on Saturday prompted the evacuation of at least 80 residents living nearby, the national oil company Pertamina said.

Pertamina, Indonesia’s biggest state-owned enterprise and energy company, said the fire at the Cilacap refinery started at one of the 228 gasoline tanks used to accommodate crude at 7:20 p.m.

It said the cause of the fire was not known. There were no casualties reported.

China enterprises exploring cooperation to import milk from Pakistan
