Iran ready to host OIC parliamentary meeting on Palestine: speaker

TEHRAN, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on Tuesday voiced the country's readiness to host a top-level parliamentary meeting among the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to explore practical solutions to Palestinian issues.

He made the remarks in a phone call with Speaker of the People's National Assembly of Algeria Ibrahim Boughali, during which the two sides also discussed the latest developments in Gaza, according to the Islamic Consultative Assembly News Agency of the Iranian parliament.

Iranian president blames U.S., West for supplying arms to Israel

TEHRAN, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has deplored the U.S. and Western supplies of arms and equipment to Israel, whose bombardments have killed nearly 9,500 people in the Gaza Strip.

He made the remarks in a phone call with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store on Saturday night, during which the two sides discussed the situation in Gaza and ways to end the conflict and lift the siege on the coastal enclave, according to a statement published on the website of the Iranian president's office on Sunday.

32 killed, 17 injured in fire at rehab center in N. Iran

TEHRAN, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- At least 32 people were killed and 17 others injured on Friday in a fire in the northern Iranian province of Gilan, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reported.

The fire erupted in the early morning hours at a rehabilitation center in Langarud County, ISNA quoted Deputy Governor of Gilan for Political, Security and Social Affairs Mohammad Jalaei as saying.

He noted that four of the injured were intubated, and the rest were in better condition, putting the center's capacity for patients at 40.

Attacks on U.S. bases in Iraq, Syria not related to Iran: minister

TEHRAN, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the attacks on U.S. military bases in Iraq and Syria over the past days were not related to Iran.

He made the remarks in an interview with the Iranian Students' News Agency published on Wednesday, during which he rejected the accusations by Washington that "Tehran has been behind the attacks by anti-U.S. groups on the American bases" in a number of the regional countries.

Iran: Tehran, Riyadh reach initial agreement on visa cancellation for traders: official

TEHRAN, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Saudi Arabia have reached a preliminary agreement on removing visa requirements for the two countries' traders, said Mohammad-Sadeq Qanadzadeh, deputy head of Iran's Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) on Saturday.

Qanadzadeh stressed that the efforts by the TPO, Iran's apparatus responsible for trade diplomacy, are in line with preparing the ground for Iranian traders and businessmen to establish connections with their foreign counterparts.

Iranian army unveils new types of loitering drones during drills

Tehran, IRNA – During the large-scale military drills codenamed Eghtedar (Authority) 1402, Sina and Fateh kamikaze drones demonstrated their capabilities by successfully hitting targets.

The ground forces’ mobile assault units used these drones to strike both stationary and moving targets within a 10-kilometer radius.

The Sina and Fateh drones, equipped with warheads weighing between 300 to 1000 grams, are designed for use against various targets in ground combat.

‘If war continues, it will boomerang on warmongers too’ says Iran's FM

New York, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has issued a stern warning against the ongoing war between Palestine and the Zionist regime, cautioning that if the war persists, it could have severe repercussions for those instigating the conflict.

Amirabdollahian made his remarks before departing New York for Tehran late on Friday. He had flown to New York on Wednesday to attend the international consultations about the regional developments and the situation in Palestine.

Iran's army kicks off 2-day drill in central province

TEHRAN, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Iranian army's Ground Force started a two-day military drill in central Isfahan Province on Friday, the official news agency IRNA reported.

The drill involves the Ground Force's infantry, armored vehicle, missile, artillery, drone, engineering, cyber security, communication and information technology units, etc., as well as the transport and support aircraft of the army's Air Force, IRNA quoted the exercise's spokesman Karim Cheshak as saying.

Tehran, IRNA- The Iranian Army's Ground Force has begun a massive military exercise in the central region of the country with the objective of assessing combat capabilities of various military units and testing new weaponry.

At a meeting in the Iranian capital Tehran, Khamenei condemned those responsible for the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, and the killing of civilians.
