China opens 1st consulate general in Iran

BANDAR ABBAS, Iran, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's Consulate General in Bandar Abbas was officially opened on Wednesday in the capital of Hormuzgan Province on the southern coast of Iran, marking the establishment of China's first consulate general in Iran.

In his address to the official opening of the consulate general, Chinese Ambassador to Iran Chang Hua hailed the consulate general in Bandar Abbas as a fresh "landmark moment in China-Iran relations."

Iran says ready to resume relations with Saudi Arabia

19 Dec 2022; MEMO: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Monday that his country is ready to resume relations with Saudi Arabia "when Riyadh is willing to", reports Anadolu Agency.

"Tehran is ready to resume diplomatic ties with Riyadh, reopen embassies," Amir-Abdollahian told the Tehran Dialogue Forum.

Iranian President Says “Taking People’s Lives” Sole Result Of U.S. Presence In Any Country

TEHRAN, Dec 18 (NNN-IRNA) – Iranian President, Ebrahim Raisi, said that, the Americans’ presence in any country has solely resulted in “taking the people’s lives,” according to the semi-official Fars news agency.

Making the remarks in an address to a number of people, in the eastern Iranian province of South Khorasan, Raisi noted that, to know about the “Americans’ destructive presence in other countries,” there is no need to read history books, “what has taken place in western Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq as a consequence of the U.S. presence, is right before our eyes.”

Iran: Over 350 weapons seized in police operation in Tehran

TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Tehran police chief said on Sunday his forces seized 300 cold weapons, 55 firearms and hunting weapons as well as a shoulder-fired missile during an operation in the Iranian capital on the same day, according to the official news agency IRNA.

Hossein Rahimi made the remarks in an address to reporters on the sidelines of the 61st stage of the police operation dubbed Ra'ad in Tehran to improve security.

Iran to launch 2 homegrown telecom satellites by March: minister

TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (Xinhua) -- Iran's minister of communication and information technology said on Sunday the country will launch at least two homegrown satellites into space by March 20, 2023, which is the end of the Iranian calendar year.

Making the remarks in an interview with official news agency IRNA, Issa Zarepour said that in addition to the two communication satellites Nahid 1 and Nahid 2, others are to be launched later.

The two satellites are both produced by the Iranian Space Research Center, with Nahid 1 unveiled in late January 2017.

Iran’s uranium enrichment rate record-high — Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization head

TEHRAN, December 17. /TASS/: Iran has boosted the uranium enrichment rate to a record high ever in the history of the national nuclear industry, Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami said on Saturday.

"The capacity for the enrichment of uranium in Iran is currently twice as high as the total capacity since the genesis of the nuclear industry in the country," the Tasnim news agency quoted him as saying.

Iran, Russia To Hold New Talks On Space Cooperation: Report

TEHRAN, Dec 14 (NNN-IRNA) – The Iranian Space Agency (ISA), and Russia’s state space corporation, Roscosmos, will start a new round of talks on cooperating in the space sector.

High-ranking officials of the ISA and Roscosmos will hold negotiations on the sidelines of the 11th Kish International Aerospace Exhibition, which kicked off yesterday on the Kish Island, in southern Iran, according to the report.

The joint training workshops of Iran and Russia will also be held in the fields of satellite design and manufacturing, as well as, satellite data processing.

Iran Slammed U.S. Claims Of Supporting Iranian Women

TEHRAN, Dec 13 (NNN-IRNA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, yesterday, slammed the U.S. claims of supporting Iranian women, saying, they have been equally impacted by Washington’s long-term unilateral sanctions on Tehran.

Women had not been excluded from the U.S. unilateral sanctions, imposed against Iran over the past decades, Nasser Kanaani was quoted as saying, during a press conference.
