Iran, EAEU Finalised Talks On Free Trade Of Over 7,500 Commodities: Iranian Official

TEHRAN, Dec 12 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iran announced the finalisation of negotiations between the Islamic republic and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), on bilateral free trade of more than 7,500 commodity items.

Mirhadi Seyyedi, head of Iran’s negotiating group with the EAEU, said, during thirty rounds of talks with the EAEU over the past two years, the dimensions of the free trade agreement were discussed and agreement was reached, which has the largest coverage in terms of goods.

Iranian navy prevents U.S. cruisers from entering Gulf: commander

TEHRAN, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- A top Iranian commander has revealed a naval encounter between the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and two U.S. cruisers near the Gulf a week ago, semi-official Tasnim news agency reported Monday.

During the encounter on Dec. 5, Iran's Shahid Rouhi high-speed and missile-launching assault boat succeeded in preventing the U.S. cruisers from entering the Gulf, IRGC Navy Commander Alireza Tangsiri said at a event to commemorate Iranian martyrs.

Iran summons British, German envoys for 'meddling' after 1st execution

11 Dec 2022; MEMO: Iran has summoned the British and German ambassadors to protest "meddling" amid months-long protests in the country, reports Anadolu Agency.

In a Saturday statement, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said it summoned Simon Shercliffe to protest what it called "meddlesome" remarks by top British officials about "internal affairs" of the country and support for "acts of terror and unrest" in Iran.

Iran summons Chinese envoy for statement on disputed islands

11 Dec 2022; MEMO: Iran's Foreign Ministry summoned the Chinese ambassador to Tehran late Saturday to protest a statement related to three disputed islands in the Persian Gulf, reports Anadolu Agency.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Chang Hua was summoned to express "strong dissatisfaction" with the joint statement of China and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Iran condemns Australia's sanctions as interference in internal affairs

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- Iran on Saturday condemned Australia's sanctions on Iranian individuals and institutions, saying they represent the country's interference in Iran's internal affairs.

The Australian government "has for years been violating the basic rights of indigenous Australians, prisoners and refugees," said Nasser Kanaani, the foreign ministry spokesman, in a ministry statement.

"Australia has also given sanctuary to anti-Iran terrorist and separatist groups," he added.
