ISLAMABAD, July 26 (APP): Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud will be visiting Pakistan on Tuesday (July 27, 2021).

The Saudi Foreign Minister, visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi, will be accompanied by a delegation comprising senior officials of the Saudi Government.

Afghan soldiers seek refuge in Pakistan after losing border military posts

ISLAMABAD, July 26 (Reuters) - Forty-six Afghan soldiers sought refuge in Pakistan after losing control of military positions across the border following advances by Taliban insurgents, Pakistan's army said on Monday.

Hundreds of Afghan army soldiers and civil officials have fled to neighbouring Tajikistan, Iran and Pakistan in recent weeks after Taliban offensives in border areas.

Search for missing S. Korean climber continues at Karakoram mountain range

ISLAMABAD, July 25 (Xinhua) -- A search operation is underway to find missing South Korean climber Kim Hong-bin, a Pakistani private tour operator that arranged Kim's expedition said on Sunday.

Kim went missing after falling into a crevasse in bad weather in the Karakoram mountain range when the climber was descending from the Broad Peak, the world's 12th highest peak, said Haji Ghulam Muhammad, head of Blue Sky Treks and Tours.

4 soldiers killed in road accident in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir: army

ISLAMABAD, July 25 (Xinhua) -- Four soldiers were killed and four people were injured in a road accident in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir on Sunday, the military said.

Three soldiers and a civil driver were among the injured, the army's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.

The ISPR added that the incident happened when an army vehicle carrying a team of quick reaction force toppled while taking a steep turn and fell into a ravine in the Leswa area of Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

Nothing can come between Pakistan, China: FM

ISLAMABAD, July 24 (APP): Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi Saturday while expressing satisfaction over the ever-growing bilateral ties between Pakistan and China, said that both were trusted friends and nothing could come between them.

Addressing a presser along with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi after holding third session of the foreign ministers’ strategic dialogue in Chengdu, capital city of Chinese Sichuan province, he said the bilateral relations between the two countries were moving in the right direction.

Pakistan: To reach a peace deal, Taliban say Afghan president must go

ISLAMABAD (AP) — The Taliban say they don’t want to monopolize power, but they insist there won’t be peace in Afghanistan until there is a new negotiated government in Kabul and President Ashraf Ghani is removed.

UK Pak Christian leaders condemn disinformation drive against Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, July 22 (APP): Councillor Dr. James Shera, former Mayor of Rugby and other UK Pakistani Christian leaders have appreciated the EU NGO report, which revealed disinformation campaign against Pakistan.

They condemned such efforts to malign and spread the message of hatred and violence against Pakistan.

“This kind of shameless reporting included details of several identities theft, impersonation of EU institutions, 750 plus fake media outlets covering 116 countries and 550 plus websites domain names registered”, Dr. Shera said in a statement issued in London.

RAWALPINDI, Jul 21 (APP): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Wednesday said armed forces were ever ready to defend Pakistan against all the threats and at all costs.

He spent Eid with troops stationed near Pak-Afghan international border in Kurram district and made these remarks while addressing the troops, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said an Inter Services Public Relations media release.

Interacting with troops and sharing Eid greetings, the COAS appreciated their high morale and unflinching resolve to defend the motherland.

Pakistan minister says Afghan envoy's daughter wasn't kidnapped; urges her to join probe
