Three-Way Summit In Cairo To Discuss Palestine Issue: Palestinian Official

RAMALLAH, Aug 27 (NNN-WAFA) – A Palestinian official announced yesterday that, a three-way summit will be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, within the coming days, to discuss the Palestinian issue.

Azzam al-Ahmad, member of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), told reporters that, leaders of Palestine, Jordan and Egypt, will hold a three-way summit meeting, to discuss the current situation of the Palestinian question.

UN, Palestine team remove unexploded Israel bomb from Gaza building

27 Aug 2021; MEMO: The United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) yesterday extracted an American-made Israeli missile that was dropped on a five-storey apartment building during the occupation state's latest war on Gaza in May. The ordnance had not exploded.

The GBU-39 type missile is often used by the occupation army to destroy Palestinian buildings.

PA urges Biden to curb Israel's colonial project

27 Aug 2021; MEMO: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken to curb Israel's colonial project in the occupied Palestinian territories.

In a statement coinciding with the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to Washington, the ministry pointed out that this provides a golden opportunity to rein-in the settler-colonial state.

Israeli Soldiers Kill A Palestinian Child In West Bank City Of Hebron

HEBRON, Aug 26 (NNN-PNN) – On Tuesday at dawn, Israeli soldiers invaded Balata refugee camp, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and killed a child, identified as Emad Hashash, 15, while he was on the rooftop of his home.

Israeli soldiers then demolished, yesterday, a car repair workshop, in the al-Harayeq area, at the southern entrance of Hebron city, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses said, several army jeeps, accompanied by bulldozers, invaded the area after isolating it.

Palestinian twins open cafe in converted jet in West Bank

RAMALLAH, West Bank (AP) — Few Palestinians in the occupied West Bank get to board an airplane these days. The territory has no civilian airport and those who can afford a plane ticket must catch their flights in neighboring Jordan. But just outside the northern city of Nablus, a pair of twins is offering people the next best thing.

Khamis al-Sairafi and brother Ata have converted an old Boeing 707 into a cafe and restaurant for customers to board.

Israel launches airstrikes on Gaza

25 Aug 2021; MEMO: Israeli warplanes last night carried out airstrikes in several sites across the Gaza Strip, local security sources said.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported no casualties, but farmers said the strikes caused much damage to their farms, particularly those in the eastern area of the Strip.

According to Israeli media, the occupation army claimed the strikes came in response to incendiary balloons being released from Gaza.

Palestine: Settler set fire to Palestine olive grove near Nablus

23 Aug 2021; MEMO: Jewish settlers this morning set fire to an olive grove in Burin town, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Information Centre reported.

Local official Ghassan Daghlas said settlers from the illegal settlement of Yitzhar stormed an agricultural area in the south of Burin and set ablaze dozens of olive trees in a grove belonging to a local resident.

Gaza leisure centre is made of rubbish
