RIYADH/DUBAI (Reuters) - Yemeni Houthi forces fired a missile that struck a Saudi Aramco oil company distribution station in Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea city of Jeddah, a Houthi military spokesman said on Monday.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen later confirmed the attack saying it targeted not only the kingdom’s national capabilities but global energy security. [nL8N2I95E4]

The Houthi spokesman, Yahya Sarea, said foreign companies and residents in Saudi should exercise caution as “operations will continue”.

New Delhi/Riyadh, Nov 22 (PTI) G20 leaders announced on Sunday that India will host the summit of the high-profile grouping in 2023 -- a year later than what was decided earlier.

India was earlier slated to host the summit in 2022 with the Osaka declaration of the G20 stating last year that "we look forward to meeting again in Saudi Arabia in 2020, in Italy in 2021 and in India in 2022".

RIYADH, Nov 22 (NNN-SPA) – Saudi Arabia announced, yesterday, it will launch a national investment strategy next year.

The Saudi Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, revealed in Riyadh, at a media briefing, ahead of the Group of 20 (G20) Leaders’ Summit, that, the strategy grants full ownership rights to Saudi and foreign investors.

RIYADH/DUBAI (Reuters) - Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment Khalid al-Falih said on Saturday foreign direct investment (FDI) increased by 12% in the first half of 2020 compared with the same period last year.

The Saudi government, which is hosting this year’s G20 summit, has made attracting greater foreign investment a cornerstone of its Vision 2030 plan to diversify the economy of the world’s largest oil exporter away from oil revenues.

Dr Khaled Al-Ouda, brother of prominent Saudi preacher Dr Salman Al-Ouda, was sentenced by a Saudi court to five years in prison over claims of "inciting sedition and destabilising security", Anadolu reported yesterday.

The news agency reported Dr Abdullah Al-Ouda, son of Dr Salman Al-Ouda, wrote on Twitter: "The [Saudi] authorities have sentenced my uncle Khaled to five years in prison and imposed travel ban on him over charges of seeking to employ the arrest of his brother to incite sedition and destabilise security."

19 Nov 2020; MEMO: Saudi Arabia, the first Arab country to host the G20 summit this weekend, is facing criticism over its human rights record despite reforms introduced in recent years to improve the conservative monarchy's image.

Human rights activists and relatives of imprisoned activists have urged world leaders to boycott the summit or pressure the kingdom's rulers to release prisoners of conscience, Al-Khaleej Today reported.

16 Nov 2020; MEMO: Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir slammed Germany over its ban on arms sales to the kingdom due to its involvement in the war in Yemen, DPA reported yesterday.

"The idea that weapon sales were stopped to Saudi Arabia because of the Yemen war I think is illogical," the minister said, pointing out: "We think it's wrong because we think the war in Yemen is a legitimate war. It's a war that we were forced into it."

The bomb blast struck a World War I commemoration at a non-Muslim cemetery in Jeddah on Wednesday, just two weeks after a guard at the French consulate in the Red Sea city was wounded by a knife-wielding Saudi citizen.
