20 Dec 2022; MEMO: A Tunisian judge has ordered the arrest of former Prime Minister Ali Laarayedh, Arabi21 has reported. According to lawyer Mukhtar Al-Jamie, the arrest took place after a number of hours in the presence of several of his legal colleagues.

17 Dec 2022; MEMO: The European Parliament has decided to boycott the parliamentary elections on Saturday in Tunisia without stating the reasons behind the decision.

The European Parliament announced in a statement on Friday that it: "Will not send observers to Tunisia to monitor the parliamentary elections that will take place tomorrow, Saturday."

Tunisia, Libya agree to open door to full cooperation
