Indian security forces kill 2 Kashmiris in Pulwama

Srinagar, 5 Mar 2019: Two Kashmiris were killed by Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, Army sources said Tuesday.

Indian security forces alleged that a gunfight broke out at Tral area on Monday with Kashmiri separatists. The security forces had cordoned off the area and launched an operation to flush out the separatists, they claimed.

Mosque in Netherlands vandalized with racist banners

THE HAGUE; 03 Mar 2019; AA: A mosque in the Netherlands was attacked by members of the Islamophobic German group Pegida, who defaced the building with racist banners, according to a mosque official on Sunday. 

At the entrance of the As Soennah mosque, frequented by Moroccan worshippers, the attackers hung banners and figurines including insults to the Prophet Muhammad.

US-led coalition uses white phosphorus munitions in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor - SANA

MOSCOW, March 4. /TASS/. The US-led coalition once again carried out airstrikes on the inhabited community of al-Baghouz in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor province on Sunday using white phosphorus munitions, the SANA news agency reported.

According to the Syrian news agency, civilian casualties are reported.

US to merge consulate and embassy in Jerusalem, downgrading Palestinian mission

04 Mar 2019; DW: The United States announced that it will be merging its consulate and embassy in Jerusalem into a single diplomatic mission on Monday.

"This decision was driven by our global efforts to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our diplomatic engagements and operations," State Department spokesman Robert Palladino said in a statement.

"It does not signal a change of U.S. policy on Jerusalem, the West Bank, or the Gaza Strip," he added.

Huawei CFO suing Canada and border agency over arrest

04 Mar 2019; DW: In a civil lawsuit filed in the British Columbia Supreme Court, Meng's lawyers alleged that her constitutional rights were violated when she was detained, searched and interrogated for three hours.

Meng's lawyers argue that Canadian authorities interrogated her "under the guise of a routine customs" check and that they seized and searched her electronic devices after obtaining her passwords.

The suit alleges that she was only told that she was arrested after she was questioned.

Israeli soldiers kill 2 Palestinians near Ramallah

RAMALLAH, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Two Palestinians were killed and one was injured on Monday morning by Israeli soldiers' gunfire in the village of Kofr Ni'ma in the suburb of the West Bank city of Ramallah, medical sources and eyewitnesses said.

The eyewitnesses said that Israeli soldiers opened fire at three Palestinians in the village, killing two of them and injuring the third one.

Cong slams government over OIC resolution on Kashmir

3 Kashmiris killed by Indian security forces

Two Kashmiri separatists and a civilian were killed by Indian security forces in Kupwara district of J&K, reported The Hindu.

Five security personnel were also killed in a 56-hour battle.  The Indian security forces personnel killed in this battle are CRPF Inspector Pintu Kumar Singh, Constable Vinod, Sham Narayan Singh Yadav,  and two police constables Naseer Ahmad and Ghulam Mustafa Barah.

No charges for police who shot 22-year-old California man
