TEHRAN, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Iran's technical team arrived in the Saudi capital Riyadh on Wednesday to prepare the ground for the reopening of its diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia, said the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

The ministry's Spokesman Nasser Kanaani described the visit as a new step in line with the implementation of the Beijing-brokered agreement between Tehran and Riyadh on the resumption of the official bilateral relations and diplomatic activities of their political and consular offices in the two countries, according to a statement on the ministry's website.

11 Apr 2023; MEMO: Russia's largest air carrier, Aeroflot, whose aircraft maintenance capabilities are crippled by Western sanctions, sent one of its Airbus planes to Iran for repair, the company said on Tuesday, Reuters reports.

According to the flight tracking system, Flightradar24, the Airbus A330-300 flew to Tehran on 5 April and remains there until now.

TEHRAN, April 9 (Xinhua) -- A technical team from Iran will "probably" travel to Saudi Arabia on Tuesday to prepare for the reopening of the Iranian embassy in Riyadh, the semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Sunday.

Tasnim said the team would visit the building of the Iranian embassy and prepare the ground for its reopening.
